01 Aug Trend Alert: Weddings during Covid-19

Typically with Labor Day approaching, our weddings team is gearing up for one of their busiest times of the year, September and October.  This year things are a little different, however, our wedding consultants are still gearing up to help create the perfect night for several couples opting to still get married in 2020. 

Jewell Events Catering manages The Rookery Building, a gorgeous space in the heart of Chicago. The typical maximum capacity for The Rookery Building is 200 guests, however, currently we are limited to 50 guests. For one of our October 2020 brides, we have thought outside of the box to ensure she has the perfect night with 50 person groupings. 

First, we are hosting a ceremony and a seated dinner with 50 guests consisting of her bridal party and immediate family.  Second, we are hosting a late night dessert and cocktail reception for her bridal party and friends. Between the two groups, we will be sanitizing the venue to ensure safety for all.

We love the creativity and cannot wait to produce a safe and memorable celebration!
