Ordering Guidelines & FAQ
Orders are requested by 12:00 PM on the business day prior to expected delivery date.
We always strive to accommodate late/last minute orders but they will be subject to availability and will be charged a 10% late fee. Same day cancellations will be charged at least 50% of the order.
Hot food requires a 10 person minimum for delivery.
Will you provide the plates that I need?
All Jewell To Go orders include plates, utensils, napkins and cups.
I have clients with allergies; can you customize a meal for them?
Of course, we can accommodate special requests and dietary needs, so don’t forget to ask!
I have a theme in mind for my event, can I order a special menu?
Our representatives are skilled in selecting special menu items to fit with any theme and will customize menus based on your ideas, needs and dietary restrictions.
Am I in your delivery area?
We will deliver anywhere in Cook, Dupage and Lake Counties.
My event is formal but I don’t need waiters, can you help?
Standard Jewell To Go deliveries are delivered on disposables platters with disposable plates, utensils, napkins, etc. You can upgrade your buffet by requesting that your meal be served from white china or silver platters with silver serving pieces. The order will still be delivered as normal and we will schedule a pick up time when our drivers can come back to retrieve the china/silver.
My company is trying to “go green,” can you help us with our catering?
All orders include compostable cups that are made from corn starch and our box lunches are made from recycled materials. Upon request all buffets can be served with biodegradable plates, utensils and napkins. To eliminate all waste please request that your buffet be served from real china or ask us about our reusable bento boxes. In addition to the supplies that we use, we try to source locally grown food when ever it’s available and in season, and we will be happy to source organic items with advance notice.
