Update October 1st, 2022:

Julia Child said it best, “A party without a cake is really just a meeting.” At Urban Icing, we have lived by that mantra and absolutely love helping clients celebrate special occasions with creative custom cakes. From corporate milestones, birthday parties, breathtaking weddings and everything in between we have been Chicago’s destination for awe-inspiring celebration cakes that taste as good as they look.

At this time in our history we regret to inform our clients that Urban Icing and Jewell Custom Cakes have decided to close our current cake operations. Our last day of business will be October 1^st, 2022. After that date, Urban Icing will no longer take orders and will not offer unique 3D sculpted cakes, wedding cakes or custom baked confections at this time. Rest assured, all orders that have been contracted will be fulfilled without interruption and with the highest quality you have come to expect with Urban Icing.

The decision to hang up our aprons and suspend services was not easy. Due to the current market landscape it was a difficult decision that ultimately needed to focus on other business pursuits. Over the years, we have enjoyed the incredible relationships we have made with our customers. We would like to thank all of our amazing clients and talented employees that have helped build this iconic brand. Urban Icing could not have been as successful as it was without your support and unwavering loyalty.
